What is it?
The Homework House is a cool space for learners to get their homework done. Our roaming specialist will assist with homework, task completion, test preparations, skill review, and more.
The roaming specialists at The Homework House are experienced educators that support students with all types of learning needs.
The Homework House is open Mondays and Tuesdays 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Wednesdays 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
As long as they are a learner, students can currently drop in any time during our open hours.
Learners should bring their homework and any supporting materials, devices, and supplies. This may include laptops, calculators, books, folders, planners, papers, or supplies for an upcoming project.
Learners may have access to WiFi, general school/office supplies such as paper, writing instruments, printing (black and white only), general manipulatives, and other general office supplies.
It is encouraged that your learner stays well-hydrated and comfortable. Students may bring their own snacks and drinks. Please no nut products. Please no chewing gum or other sticky treats. We will have some healthy snack and beverage options for purchase. Water is available anytime.
If your child needs more academic support, therapy or intervention, we encourage you to contact Engage the Brain directly to schedule 1:1 sessions.
Starting February 2024 a special discounted rate will be offered to all current Engage the Brain and North Park Learning Group learners. Take advantage of our special soft opening rate now, which is open to all.
All learners must be picked up no later than 6:00PM from The Homework House. If you are running late, please text the specialist on duty or 407-310-9583. After a 5-minute grace period, families will be charged an additional $5 per minute. Continuous late pick ups may result in dismissal from The Homework House.
Students in grades K - 12 are welcome at The Homework House. Our specialists are able to help in reading, writing, math (through grade 8), study skills, test prep, organization, and learning strategies. Support for more advanced math and science may be available at a later date.
The Homework House is located at 620 North Wymore Road, Suite 250, in Maitland. We are right next door to Engage the Brain! The Homework House does not offer virtual support at this time.
Feel free to set up a Discovery Call to learn more. Use this 20-minutes to tell us more about your learner, and we can tell you more about The Homework House.
