At Engage the Brain, we offer academic tutoring and intervention services for all types of learners. Our personalized programming utilizes science-based teaching strategies that are focused on closing gaps, building confidence, and advancing each learner.
Besides servicing students with academic struggles, we also coach and facilitate the development of academic confidence for students that struggle with attention, focus, organizational skills, or anxiety.
Not all learners are the same. We welcome students identified with language-based and other types of learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. We employ a range of multisensory and explicit instructional approaches to support these learners.

About the Founder
Determined to discover the hows and whys of learning and academic success, Engage the Brain founder, Jennifer Disch, opened the center in 2010 to offer academic support, enrichment, and intervention services for all types of learners.
She brings to the task a bachelor’s degree in K-12 Special Education and Elementary Education from Vanderbilt University; a master’s in Curriculum and Development from Minnesota State University, Mankato; and a specialist degree in Brain-Based Teaching with a concentration in Instructional Leadership.
She has more than 25 years of teaching experience and is acknowledged as a Professional Educational Therapist by the Association of Educational Therapists.
Jennifer has witnessed that when learners are given the proper personalized tools and strategies, struggling students can grow. She loves watching all students think, learn, and grow!

Our brick and mortar main office is in Maitland, Florida. We offer in-person tutoring and academic support sessions at our office, in your home, or even at school if special arrangements are made.
