Engage the Brain is welcoming back our well-respected, literacy expert, Dawn Nieman, AOGPE, Fellow and board member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy. She will be providing 30 hours of Classroom Educator Level training.  This course is designed for teachers, parents, or other providers to have knowledge and training to deliver literacy instruction in small group instruction, such as in a classroom.  The coursework will allow teachers to proceed with the Classroom Educator practicum as part of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Educators and Practitioners, which is a separate contract from this course.

30-hour CLASSROOM EDUCATOR LEVEL TRAINING TIMES

LIVE ON-LINE (ZOOM) SESSIONS 

Monday, January 18:  9AM -12PM and 1PM – 4PM
Tuesday – Friday (January 19 – 22): 4PM – 7PM
Saturday, January 23 9AM – 12PM and 1PM – 4PM
Monday and Tuesday (January 25 – 26): 4:00PM – 7PM

Academy Guidelines and Expectations: 

Even though you are able to view the recordings, you may only miss 6 live hours. You will not be granted an attendance certificate if you are not present for at least 24 of the 30 live hours.

** Daily Review Quizzes, Final Exam, and Final Lesson Presentation expected.
